To obtain a PPL there are certain requirements that must be met. At the time of your Flight Test you must be 17 years of age and hold a current class II medical. Below are details on the theory and practical flying that must be undertaken prior to sitting a flight test with an approved Flight Examiner.
Theory :
This encompasses a total of six different subjects with a separate exam to be taken for each. Whilst a 70% pass must be obtained in each subject, all papers are based on multi choice questions. The six subjects are listed below.
- Human Factors
- Flight Radio Telephone (FRTO)
- Aircraft Technical Knowledge
- Air Law
- Navigation
- Meteorology
Practical :
The hours noted below are the minimum required. In most instances pilots will fly more before sitting their PPL flight test.
